Dr. Janice Coats-Hardy
The 2021-2025 significant Southeastern silhouette president of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., has exemplified plethora experiences which impact her leadership strategies. Accomplished President Dr. Janice Coats-Hardy emanates from humble beginning in rural Wheeler County, Georgia, where she experienced remarkable success in receiving her formal educational training in the Wheeler County School System, Alamo, Georgia. At incredibly early age, she developed an interest biblical studies competition and was successful in winning Biblical oratorical contests.However, socio-emotional growth and development in the church impacted on her personal philosophy of life and school academic successes. As a compassionate servant oriented leader, her purpose driven life’s mission reflects a Godly mandate of service to fulfill With this thought in mind, she often states, “I am blessed to be a blessing to others.” However, this belief system has been very instrumental in her seeking and achieving personal and professional goals to have a positive impact on this ever- growing perilous society of multiple technological as well as critical social changes. When she successfully completed formal educational training in rural Wheeler County, GA School System, she pursued and successfully obtained degrees from various universities: Albany State, BA in French and Ed. S. in Educational Administration; Georgia State, Atlanta, Ga, MS in English, and the University of Sarasota,Sarasota, Fla. Ed.D. in Educational leadership. She pursued additional educational enrichment studies at the University of Central Florida, Marquette University in Wisconsin, Atlanta University, Atlanta, GA, and the University of Illinois.
